Friendship Skills

Whilst making friends and knowing how to respond to social cues comes easily to some children, others will benefit from some specific intentional friendship teaching skills.  Having an environment rich in an atmosphere of caring, respect and support will be beneficial for all children in their development of social emotional competencies.  Specific articles, resources and activities that support friendship development are listed below and are directly sources from Vanderbilt University - Center on the Social Emotional Foundations in Early Learning (CSEFEL) and Technical Assistance Center on Social Emotional Intervention (TACSEI).
